Seasonal Walk

Join Us for A Winter Stroll

We invite you to join us on Sunday, January 12th for our 5th in a series of seasonal walks on Thomas Miner Nature Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary. Bob Dewire, renowned naturalist, ornithologist will be our guide. As we stroll through this peaceful sanctuary, in the fields, we’ll be in search of over-wintering birds such as bluebirds, winter wrens and hawks. In the woodlands, we’ll scan the trees for nuthatches, brown creepers, woodpeckers, etc. Snow-covered ground will allow us to read stories in the snow of the wildlife on the Preserve. Stroll will be approximately 1-1/2 hours long, on flat terrain.
